Roman Vilanov is a seasoned professional in the coffee and hospitality industry with a career spanning nearly two decades. With a rich background dating back to 2004, he has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to the craft of coffee and service excellence. He is an HRDA-authorised trainer in Cyprus and, throughout his career, has successfully trained numerous baristas at esteemed institutions such as Gloria Jean’s Coffees and Sigma Bakeries.
When sharing his knowledge and expertise, his approach to coffee and hospitality is characterised by a strong focus on efficiency, service quality, and optimising speed of service. He specialises in Latte Art training, Barista 101 training, Coffee Bar Design, and Coffee Competition Preparation. Through the Barista Hustle platform and certifications, his aim is to elevate the Cypriot coffee market to the highest international standards.
One of the highlights of his career is winning the National AeroPress Championship of Cyprus in 2024 and representing Cyprus at the World AeroPress Championship the same year.
In addition to café training, since 2021 he has been roasting his own coffee and cocoa under his brand, Jar Of Coffee.
